Public Performance:Melodies in Every Season@Esplanade

Dear Parents and pupils,

In lieu of our upcoming Guitar ensemble  Public performance 'Melodies in Every Season', we are glad to inform you that our GE will be going out on these 2 days on in Term 3 Week 1 as scheduled:

(1) Date: Thurs, 30 June for Sound Check 

     Time: 1.30pm - 3pm

(2) Date: Actual Performance, Fri, 1 July

     "Melodies in Every Season" 

     Time: 5.15pm

(3) Venue for both activities: Esplanade Concourse

Your attendance and support for this event will be greatly appreciated.

SYF 2016

Dear Parents & GE members,

A big congratulations to our Guitar Ensemble for clinching the Distinction award for this year's SYF assessment. As such there will be a small celebration at 3.20 pm tomorrow. All p6 members are strongly encouraged  to attend:-) 

It's compulsory for all P5, P4 and P3 members to also attend as there will be practice session after our short celebration.

On behalf of the school, we would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to all the parents for giving their support and encouragement to us especially to Mrs Bek, Mrs Koo and Mrs Wong for their continuous support since our group's inception in 2012.

Funtime & Performance@Canberra Day, 13 March 2016

Our Guitar Ensemble members had lots of fun both performing as well as enjoying themselves at the Canberra Day Carnival.  The wonderful event was graced by Minister of Transport, Mr Khaw Boon Wan. Our pupils also had a chance to play the games and take part in various activities, including taking photos with famous superheroes. Enjoy the snapshots of the event!

SYF exchange program & Cancellation of CCA for Junior Members

Dear parents & Guitar Ensemble members,

We will be having our SYF exchange program tomorrow, Wednesday 16 March @ Pei Hwa Presbyterian Primary School. Please be in school latest by 12.45 p.m.

Please also be informed there will not be any practice session for Junior members tomorrow & Thursday, 17 March. Thank you for your kind cooperation & understanding.

Upcoming Events for EDP Guitar Ensemble

Our guitar ensemble will be having our 1st Public performance this year at the Canberra Day Carnival organized by Canberra CC. The details are as follow:

Date: 13 March 2016

Departure from sch: 8.20 a.m.

Departure from Canberra CC: 10.40 a.m.

Guitar Ensemble had a very intense but fun rehearsal at The Republic Cultural Centre @ Republic Polytechnic on Monday, 29 Feb. Mr Gaspar was also present to give some constructive feedback on the rehearsal.

Chinese New Year Celebration - Fri, 5 Jan

Dear Pupils & Parents,

Please be informed that there will be no practice session for Junior Group this Fri, 5 Feb and Monday, 8 Feb for Main ensemble due to Chinese New Year Festive period. Practice will resume on the following week Friday, 12 Feb for both Junior Group and Main Ensemble.

Practice Session For: New recruits and Juniors from main ensemble

Please be informed that after CNY Festive period, it is compulsory for all main ensemble players to also attend the Friday sessions till the actual day of SYF Arts Presentation on 14 Apr.
